This was the milestone I had been striving to make – getting the manuscript off to the printer. Hours of review and preparation, partnered with my designer David, resulted in a final product I’m really excited for you to see.
The initial proof turned up from my friends at Bookprint Ltd and it was like seeing a newborn on the table. I said to Amy, owner of Bookprint, “It was as much hard work as giving birth to a baby.” She gave me a look that said she didn’t quite agree!
A few more reviews and a few more minor tweaks and we had the final files ready to go.
Offset printing means we have to head offshore to get a price I’m happy with, a very reasonable cost seeing as I’m paying the bill. I know some of you will think I should be printing in NZ, but the truth is the pricing just means there’s no way to make money for me.
It’s another exciting step in the process. Wahoo!
